COMMUNITY APPRECIATION AWARD

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

The Hossein Mousavi Family Foundation (HMFF) is currently seeking nominations for the inaugural Community Appreciation Award.

The HMFF Community Appreciation Award will honor an individual who has dedicated their time and made significant contributions to the Iranian community in Nova Scotia through volunteer involvement and by demonstrating strong leadership.

You are invited to nominate an individual (self-nomination is accepted) now through January 30, 2021 at 11:59 P.M. AST.

Please include a description of why the nominee should be considered for the award in a short letter, along with the supporting documents of contribution and a short CV of the nominee, if available. The Community Appreciation Award Committee will review the nominations and select the award recipient. The name of the award recipient will be honoured at the virtual Community Appreciation Award event hosted by the foundation on February 21st, 2021.

Title

Hossein Mousavi Foundation Community Appreciation Award

Purpose

To recognize an individual who has unselfishly given of themselves and made significant contributions to the Iranian community in Nova Scotia – through volunteer involvement and achievements and by showing strong leadership.

Award Recognition

$3000.00 donation made to the award recipient’s charity of choice.
A plaque award will be presented to the recipient during the Community Appreciation Award Event (details of event to follow).
A plaque will also be on display in the Hossein Mousavi Family Foundation’s office and acknowledgement will be made on the HMFF Website and in our community’s media.

Eligibility

An individual within the Iranian community in Nova Scotia who has lived in Nova Scotia at least for one year and has not received the award within the preceding five years.
An individual of any background who has significantly contributed to the advancement and strengthening of the Iranian community in Nova Scotia.

Criteria

Please clearly identify why you feel the nominee has helped to advance and strengthen the Iranian community in Nova Scotia by:

Volunteer involvement
Showing strong leadership and achievement
Demonstration of positive and sustainable impact to the community such as developing organizational/institutional structures that will last for years to come.

The Nomination Package Must Include

A letter outlining a description of the nominee’s contributions to the Iranian community in Nova Scotia. As needed, pertinent appendices may be included (eg: support letters, evidence of contribution, etc.), if applicable.
The nominee's resume (maximum three pages), if available.

Judging Criteria

The selection committee will consider the following:

The degree to which the nominees’ experiences/actions made a lasting or meaningful impact on the Iranian community in Nova Scotia.
If more than one person receives the same number of points, that with a longer period of service may be chosen.

The complete nomination package must be submitted electronically in a single PDF file to the selection committee by either emailing hosseinmousavifoundation@gmail.com or online submission through the form below.

Late submission will not be considered.

اکنون وقت آن رسیده است که با رای شما از آنهایی که بی چشم داشت در جهت پیشرفت جامعه ایرانی نوااسکوشیا تلاش می کنند قدردانی کنیم. بنیاد حسین موسوی برای دومین سال از شما ایرانیان ساکن استان نواسکوشیا دعوت می کند تا فرد مورد نظر خود را برای دریافت جایزه امسال بنیاد خانواده حسین موسوی معرفی کنید.

برای شناخت بهتر کاندیدای مورد نظرتان لطفا دلایل انتخاب خود مانند فعالیت های داوطلبانه شخص، رهبری موثر ، و رزومه او را همراه با نام کاندیدا ارسال کنید.

جایزه ویژه بنیاد حسین موسوی به یکی از برگزیدگان شما تعلق خواهد گرفت و در شب بیست و یکم فوریه ۲۰۲۱ در مهمانی مجازی که به همین مناسبت برگزار می شود به ایشان اهدا خواهد شد.

رزومه کاندیدا در صورت دسترسی

از بین کاندیداهای ارسال شده از طرف شما، با توجه به میزان تاثیرگذاری فعالیت های هر کدام در جامعه ایرانی نوااسکوشیا یک نفر توسط هیات انتخاب برگزیده خواهد شد.
